About LEAN LAWYERS
LEAN is an innovative, climate-positive B Corp law firm in Utrecht. We help entrepreneurs, scale-ups, impact businesses and organisations in transition, both in the Netherlands and abroad, with clear legal solutions. We call it ‘law made simple’. We work in small, multidisciplinary teams, continually improve our processes and choose to grow sustainably.
Your role
- You run and steer complex proceedings (civil, commercial, corporate and financial litigation), often with a corporate or financial angle.
- You’ll help clients and colleagues think strategically, moving easily between the boardroom and the courtroom.
- You help build LEAN's litigation practice: propositions, processes, knowledge sharing, productised services.
- You coach and develop juniors and mid-level lawyers, and have a clear view on leadership in the 'new' legal profession.
Who you are
- At least 10 years' experience as a lawyer, with litigation at your core, preferably at a top 30–50 firm or a specialist practice.
- Strong on litigation strategy and on making complex matters simple for clients.
- Entrepreneurial, curious and ready to look beyond the classic billable hour.
- You can be yourself here. You enjoy working with others, giving and receiving feedback, and building a firm, not just your own billings.
- You have clear ideas about the future of litigation and you want to lead the way.
- You've got the 'LEAN DNA'.
- You speak and write fluent Dutch and English, and you know how to win clients and grow a practice.
